Steel Chicken Blues
Ok, you guys are just to uptight for me...Since we are about to head into a new season of the big matches....Perhaps a song for you all to sing. Jesus Dawg...I miss you dude.
Steel Chicken Blues
It’s early Sunday morning, the sun is coming up
I finished last night’s brewski and go to load my truck
I check out of the motel, head out to the range
The weather looks real windy, and hell it’s gonna rain
They say this game’s a tough one, but I’ll give it my best shot
But the chickens look like peanuts and the rams they look like spots
Oh Lord, what am I gonna do? Please help me get my mine rite
And save me from the Steely Chicken Blues
So here I am on Chickens, I zipper up my vest
I load up all my mags, I’m gonna try my best
So there I am a waitin’, just nervous as a bitch
Just trying to remember, all the Jared Perry tips
I set my scope on zero, check my stance and grip
And when I here the fire command, sweet Jesus I gotta piss
Oh Lord, what am I gonna do? I’ll be back in Church one Sunday
Please save me from the Zero Chicken Blues
So here I go on pigs, my nads are in my throat
I settle in for bank one, oh Lord I thought I’d choke
I’d like to make a good shot or maybe two or three
I’m hopin’ that man above, will kindly look down on me
I steady up my nerves, get ready for the shot
I put three between the legs and now I’m all screwed up
Oh Lord, this next Bud’s for you, I’m lost here on the firing line
Please save me from the Zero Piggy Blues
I started out with three mags, now one of them is lost
I’m tryin’ really hard, to forget what that thing cost
So I’m sittin’ on the benches, just tryin’ to compose
Then the gal right next to me discharges something low
I search for my damn nose plugs, but I was just to slow
I know the day is shot, but that’s the way it goes
Oh Lord, what am I gonna do? I’m lost here on the firing line
Please save me from these Smelly Chicken Blues
So now it’s time for Turkeys, I’m thinkin’ this is it
Straighten that right elbow, left arm on the hip
Check out all the winds flags, just prayin’ not to miss
The wind is really blowin’, now there’s a 20 dollar bet
I know those Tards from F-Troop would love to see me sweat
Oh Lord, what am I gonna do, please help me keep my head up
And save me from the Zero Turkey Blues
So here I am at Rams, the training’s all forgotten
And last nights chicken nuggets, they all are touching cotton
I make it through the first bank, never hit a one
Now here’s my chance on bank two, and lord here comes the sun
I focus in on ram 6 , I know I’ll soon be done
I make a decent shot, but it was the wrong damn one
Oh Lord, what am I gonna do, I’ll be back in Church next Sunday
Just save me from these Steel Chicken Blues

Dang Marv! I'm impressed that you can find your left hip! Haven't seen mine in years, let alone found it with my elbow...

Re: Steel Chicken Blues
Everyone loves to have the little puppy around but the Dawg is busy working on some "projects". The projects may take awhile. The projects are important and interfere with practice and matches. I do not think Dawg will be at Winnsboro this year. We did have the pleasure of seeing him at the last two local matches. He was hungry both times.
