What about Shooting USA or Sighting In on the Outdoor Channel. Maybe Jim Scoutten could send someone to Winnsboro to cover the shoot. You might be able to meet with them at the Shot Show they cover it every year. They did a show with a segment on the High Power Silhlouette Nationals one year.

Wouldn't hurt to try, bet you could get it done. Hell I think you could sell ice to an eskimo.

That pretty well says it, Papabear! Just for shock value I told a professor I only had about 20,000 rounds of ammunition at home and we almost lost her. Then she recovered and asked what permits were required... Looked at me like I was trafficking arms for slaves...

I bet Louisiana Sportsman Magazine would do a story and provide some coverage. Been thinking about asking them to cover airgun Field Target and Silhouette now at the local club in Baton Rouge. Perhaps we could get them to do one covering all the clubs and events with silhouette available in the state.

One of the writers for the magazine is a member of the fly fishing club I belonged to for years and a really nice guy. I think he could get us in contact with someone from the mag that might be willing to give Silhouette in La. a mention. Lots of hunters and people that like to shoot in La. but many probably don't have a clue about the off season shooting fun to be had around the state.

This boils my ass... Granted, I grew up watching B&W war movies and spaghetti westerns, but never in my wildest dreams could I conjure the thought of needing a permit for a GD thing in this country... I mean seriously, what part of "Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness" requires a permit? Handling nuclear waste, maybe... Biotoxins, perhaps... .22 ammo??? argh...

Send me the contact info and I will get on it ASAP! We have tried to get someone interested at the SHOT Show and not been successful. The best that we have been able to do is with Ernie Kuney and he has done a great job for us in the past.

Just know that we are already planning on improvements for next year and the 20th Anniversary Match in 2010! Then we will concentrate on a 25th match!
