All bullshit that's happened lately aside, and with me still not having any idea what I did to piss you off a year or more ago now, I'm damn glad that you posted those pictures in the high power forum. I've had a couple people come back and bitch at me for telling them to talk to you for rifle work or custom rings, because they'd only seen a few posts on this forum. As great as this place is to have, it doesn't tell nearly the whole story. One of them up here emailed me about it and that post gave me ammo to go back to both of them today and say "See? That is why I told you to call Marvin. Don't spend custom rifle money unless you can be sure you're going to get results like that. Just don't tell him that I sent you.
"
I know you probably don't giving a flying **** what I think, but it's damn nice to see you posting that stuff and it sucked for you to not be at the Conard Cup this year. That match is what really hooked me on silhouette three years ago now and you were part of it. I don't know any of the background story and I'm sure you have your own reasons, but just let it be said that you were missed.

See, Marv, I told you. You belong at the match. It's a kind of civic duty. Your constuents expect it. I promise to buy you your beverage of choice if you attend next year.
On the hardware side, yes Marv's guns are good. Marv built me a Pearson 581 that is absolutely gorgeous. With a Shilen barrel, Pharr RTS stock, Anschutz 5018 trigger, Marv's scope base, rings and bottom metal and a Weaver T-24 scope installed it weighs....8 lbs 7.5 ozs! One half ounce under the limit!
With Marv you know your going to get good work and that's as good a guarantee as your going to get.
