NRA National Sihouette Championships

I was looking on the NRA site and it indicated that that the Nat'l smallbore rifle silhouette championships are at Ridgway on August 2,3, and 4 Sun Mon and Tue, respectively. Aren't the national championships usually shot on a weekend rather than week days? It just seems odd to me that the nationals would be held on a Monday and Tuesday? Is this the norm or am I missing something?

That schedule is the norm. Wed. is an off day then HP on T-F-S.
