Depending on condition the 54ms tends to hover somewhere around $1000 - $1100 from what I have seen.

Howdy ironman. It depends on if you're selling it local or may I suggest our marketplace. These rifles are pretty hard to come by. It looks like yours is a single shot. If I'm seeing wrong and it's a repeater add a few hundred to what Trent said at least.

Caveat Emptor!

4 posts. He just registered. Shows a tantalizing picture. Puts help in the subject line.

Uh Google is a great place to start. Look at your rifle. It has a cool stamping on it. Gosh! it says Anschutz MSR!

http://www.google.com (been arround for a little while)

Look at the results

Hmm I think I can get $$$ this much

http://www.gunbroker.com
http://www.gunsamerica.com

Or go to your local gun store or someone who has a FFL.

Get money

Yes I admit it, am not a silouette guy, I was told by some nice folks at rimfire central to come here for info and up until now everyone has been awesome. I understand that there are a lot of trolls out there but as I have not even offered anything for sale I fail to see your concern. I am a USPSA pistol shooter and have been for many years. I am the match director at my local club and I sincerely hope that if you guys ever need information on a race type pistol that you will be treated like everyone except net ninja has treated me here. Thank you for your help.

DO NOT pay attention to that last post. It is NOT indicative of the way members interact with each other on this forum. If you read through a lot of the posts on this forum you will quickly realize that this is much more than a forum. It is a family, or rather... it is a place where a family comes to interact with each other. This is a tight knit group that is very welcoming and encouraging.

I haven't tried USPSA yet but I would like to. My wife would argue that the last thing I need is another shooting sport to follow. Silhouette and f-class already take up enough weekends (every weekend really). I do have a Para Ordnance P14 that is kinda set up for competition with the beavertail safety disconnected, flared magwell and Dawson Precision mag extenders. Little bit of trigger work too. It's mostly just for play but one of these days I'll get to one of our local matches.

You have in your possession on of the best built silhouette rifles. You should give it a try before you have to get rid of it. :-bd

Agree on the Rifle value 1k plus depending. Weaver T scope is not cheap either. 16's are 375 or so but it looks long May be a higher power.

Reservation is fashions change. Shooters like the latest thing and are going for hunter class with plastic stocks. Makes a nice old outfit slower sell if over priced.

It's something I would buy though.

So, a person who has 14 posts is blasting a guy with 4 posts for not having enough posts to ask the silhouette community about the value of a silhouette rifle. Add to this in all of his/her 14 posts he/she has never once even revealed his/her name. Hummmmm....

Ironman, dont listen to anything that goober told you. You did exactly the right thing - this is the best place to ask that question. A google search wouldnt help you a bit unless it brought you here and gunbroker rarely has this rifle for sale.

FYI, the last 54 MS I saw sold went for $1000 for just the rifle. That was a good deal but I'd say that the market value right now is around that (maybe could get up to $1200). I bought a used rifle like yours this year for $900 except mine was a position rifle with a long 26-inch heavy barrel - not too good for shooting silhouette. I bought the rifle for the action and built another rifle.

I'd say the scope is worth $325-$375. The best thing you could do with that rifle is to start shooting silhouette!!!

Good luck.

You missed the Caveat Emptor line.

You reverted to calling me a name, how pleasent of you.

These are the sorts of posts that are popping up on a lot of these gun forums and people are getting burned.
Forgive me for alerting the readership. I should have done it in a more tactful way.

Good luck guys

Thanks guys, I got a chance to shoot the rifle in the pic today, it was very .impressive! Even with cheap ammo 50 yard bullseyes on a bench rest target were common. It even made ME LOOK GOOD!! I don't think there are any silouette matches anywhere near me though ( I live in visalia )and I already shoot pistol, skeet, and 3 gun. As much as I love these rifles I think they need to go to new homes. The scope on the rifle in the pic is a t 25 anyone interested at 1200 with scope?

Actually, they shoot silhouette in Ridgecrest http://www.uspsa2.org/sage_1.htm .22 Silhouette Rifle Matches on the 4th Sunday, every other month (even months).

There is supposed to be silhouette in San Luis Obispo as well.

You can go to this website and look through all the California locations. It's also a website with a wealth of easy to read information on Metallic Silhouette.
http://www.riflesilhouette.com/information/ranges.html

$1200 with scope is a pretty good deal.

Still no name? Do not care about your us the same alias on 5000 boards. Also please read his first post again. He is not selling at this time and is only asking for value. Do not care if you have been a member for 10 years or 10 days.

I am careful before I send any money to someone I cannot identify.

And yes you did come off too strong and in appropriate, everyone on this board to my knowledge is 21+.
