Weekly update for Southern Nats 5/22/12
As of 5 PM this afternoon we have 189 registered competitors and the score cards have been printed, placed in order and stapled together. Robin and her able crew are putting the finishing touches on the door prizes and are in the process of building the ditty bags.
Only one week to go until my good friends from Corpus Christi show up with the Shiner Bock!

Not sure. If we do go over 200 shooters then we will run a relay 6 but will not be able to accommodate late requests as we only have 12 lots left as I was wrong and we have 188 registered. I just got through with the score cards at 8 tonight!
Due to filling all squadding requests we only have two spots on a bank of pigs and a bank of turkeys. We do have three adjacent banks available if two shooters wish to shoot together and we can always move one shooter in the other bank to accommodate them. After the 200 slots are filled, it will be individuals placed where we can put them. There are 40 spots on relay 6 available!
If we only have two shooters over 200 then Jerry and I will give up our spots so we do not have to run 6 relays for just two shooters. We will just DNF and hope for the door prizes. After all we are shooting in Master Class for our Last Dance!
On another note, I found my "Last Dance" shirt from the Fort Worth Rifle and Pistol Club's last Texas State Match in 1998! I will probably wear it on Thursday!

See you in a week!!!! Nothing like Mr. Slaughter's Shiner to kick off a great time. Can't wait to put up all the tents. Always entertaining watching grown men measure each others poles.
This is what it sounds like..... "I've got a long one. No his is longer, use his." " Both of you are wrong. They belong to that one. This one takes all these short, thick ones."

Looking forward to meeting a bunch of "new" folks. I still say we should wear name tags with our SCs names so that we know who is who.

We can make name badges for a nominal fee with your photo on them! Just let me know if I need to get Nicki to set it up. They will be laminated with a clip. You will be able to say you sere at the Last Dance Match! That may be the only way you can prove you were here as everyone that you talk to within a year will have been at the match!
Does $5 sound reasonable? If so, I will proceed to get her to set the camera and everything up!

Wait, why the hell would I need a name tag with my photo on it?? If I am wearing the name tag... just look up 8 inches.duckgumbo wrote:We can make name badges for a nominal fee with your photo on them! Just let me know if I need to get Nicki to set it up.
