Henry .22 Magnum with Octagon Barrel

Post by Ferret Master »

Does anyone have experience with this rifle? Sure looks nice but would hate to invest $450 and find out it doesn't shoot well enough to use for PC Cowboy. How about the trigger?
Thanks in advance for your help!

I have one and love it. The octagon model H001TM was my 1st PCCLA gun after shooting my H001T SBCLA gun for a couple years in PC class. Although I dont use it as much anymore for PCCLA, its probably my most consistently accurate rifle.

One thing though, and not a knock on the rifle, but I wouldnt consider 22mag to be 100% reliable for knocking down the rams. Probably only 75-85%, depending on the targets and wind conditions. It does better on auto-reset targets and I do still use it occasionally when shooting those.

Still, its much better than using the 22LR in PC, and its probably my favorite rifle to carry for dispatching varmints.
Its also the easiest trigger I've ever worked on and gave me the confidence to try doing my Marlin triggers.
