Rings From Bob Mc Alice

Post by jdp »

Thanks for the rings Bob. I wish I could get my hands on 2 or 3 more. Start making them again . I will buy.

They do away with the Ugly Leupold scope shade Syndrome. Excuse the tape, but this is how I keep up with whats working.

I think it changes the look a lot. What do any of you think?

I think you need a rifle with a lot of shiny silver on it to go with that ring. Maybe you can get one of Jason's...

2 options to consider are:
1) dura coat them, which is more permanent, but for the expense may as well do the whole scope.
or 2) Krylon makes an outdoor paint made for metal patio furniture that bonds pretty darn well too. Comes in black and such.
DOPE? Boy, do I look like a hippy to you?

McAlice, I bet when you fly, you have to buy 2 seats, one for you and one for your ego. Heres a shot of reality bud, you had to give the rings away! Hello!!!!!!

McAlice is da man!! Master machinist... fantastic silhouette shooter... great teacher, on top of all that he is also incredibly generous. If it weren't for him (and a few other local guys) I would not be shooting high power silhouette.

I have literally had to hide money in this guys gear in order to try and give back to him, and he has tried to chase (on foot) after my truck because he didn't want to take it.

I received the rings from Bob a couple of days ago. They are gorgeous.
He could easily charge for these, as long as people know that they are available.

Bob, didn't see the post in time for the rings, but just knowing you would have sent them is enough for me. Thanks for your generosity.

The blue would be a nice touch to go with the tape.

It's hard to believe that McAlice would run after someone to give them their money back without having pictures posted of it on photo bucket, with a stride by stride description! When Pharr, Evelio, Pearson, Wooster, and Chicken George get on this site and beg someone to take their equipment, well I won't be shooting a stock 1712 anymore!

I'll tell you what, he is pretty spry for and old fella that stoops in front of a lathe all day, and competes in a sport that requires you to stand absolutely still. I thought he might catch me! :D

I don't know weather to ask this question to Trent or McAlice, It seems like McAlice has gotten on Trents computer somehow, but speaking of being bent over a lathe all day, how many of dem Steel Chickens super stars get a barrell that is pre threaded and pre chambered? I don't have no big name machinist putting my barrells on, I have a farm boy in Globe that does it and he don't call Douglas and order a ready to go barrell.

JB, maybe if you treated McAlice with a little more respect he'd be your gunsmith too =))
