Butt plate saga.

Well it was pointed out to me that I am in need of a bigger butt pad Or more eye relief on my Mcmillian thumbhole stock...54msr annie
My shooting buddy give me a very nice morgan butt plate...thanks Don!

Ah. er well I guess I am below the "Caveman" skill set.
I cannot find if any at all where the dad gum screw heads are that hold the dad gum Mcmillan rubber butt plate on...
I call the local Gun Smith and he wants two weeks..ah, I want it now dad gummit!
Anyone?
Is this thing glued on?
I looked at my rather large miter nox saw..Table saw..scrolling table saw...and wonder...
Is this stock solid in the f/g department at the end where the butt pad attaches....?
I thought of calling Mcmillian but it was too late in the evening and sent a email...
We are likeing the idea of shooting Thursday...
Any ideas before I engage one of my saws?
