1712 Singe Shot Adapter?
What are my options for the 1712 as far as a single shot adapter? Which one is the best?

That red thing is all I can find and I heard it is not very good. Am I hearing wrong? It sure looks terrible going into an Anschutz.

It works OK.. there was also a person making an adapter for the existing magazine on Rimfie central I believe. You may have to do a search to find it.austin870a wrote:That red thing is all I can find and I heard it is not very good. Am I hearing wrong? It sure looks terrible going into an Anschutz.

Thanks, I found him earlier today and sent him a PM. He makes an adapter that fits on top of the standard clip. There are mixed reviews on it depending on the action/clip.

I use his SS adapters on both 64s and 54s. In a factory Anschutz magazine, they've always worked 100% perfect for me.austin870a wrote:Thanks, I found him earlier today and sent him a PM. I certainly can't say the same thing about the factory Anschutz red ones....

Please share with us the identity of this person who makes these adapters. I would like one for my 54.

rindarman is the guy. Send him a PM. I have him sending me one today.
They also work in other guns. A guy modified his slightly to work in his Sako Finnfire and they work good in Kimbers.

I was curious how much did you pay him for them?Black_Talon wrote:I use his SS adapters on both 64s and 54s. Why would you want one? You can't use it during a hunter rifle match.

They were super-cheap, I don't remember exactly, but it wasn't over $5 or so. And yes, they are from that "rinardman" guy.austin870a wrote:I was curious how much did you pay him for them?Black_Talon wrote:I use his SS adapters on both 64s and 54s. Re: 1712 Singe Shot Adapter?
I enjoy an informal smallbore Silhouette competition at a local gun club. They get over 30 men and women for a "shoot what you bring" match every week. There are no weight etc limiting rules. There is an open site, scoped and pistol class. All the scoped rifles shoot one class with four divisions based on your average. You are for the most part just having fun and shooting against yourself every week. We have everything from reworked Civil War falling blocks to Mark Pharr built 1712's. It is a great way to get people interested in Silhouette shooting.Jerry G wrote:Why would you want one? You can't use it during a hunter rifle match.
For this competition I shoot best single shot.
