? for Mary
Hi Mary,
You mentioned on a reply to a scope topic that Troy Lawton had written articles about reducing wobble. Can you tell me where those might be available?
FYI-
I'm sure there is only one Troy Lawton, but it is noted on USNM board he shot a 800 (perfect score) with a Service Rifle this past weekend 200 with 13x offhand!!! Beyond discription.
Thanks
chuck

Chuck,
Troy gave a clinic at one on the Nationals several years ago on this, Troy's method is practice using smaller and smaller dots e.g. 3", 2 1/2", 2". 1" etc till you can keep your hold/wobble within a 3/4" dot. The key is practice, practice, practice... I think my wobble is a 6" circle anymore

Thanks, for responding all. The 15.5 hour drive straight through yesterday is going to hold me down for while. Chuck, not sure about the USNM service rifle score you mention sounds like our buddy Troy. Yes do start holding on a large circle and progress to holding on smaller and smaller dots. Both Rachel Reninger and Elisabeth Steiger, young ladies that I have done some spotting for when they broke their national records (2003 and 2009) are what I will call spot shooters. I pick a spot on the animal, for the conditions and they shoot that spot.
