Left handed shooter.
I want to start shooting rimfire silhouette, so I am trying to figure out which gun I need. I am left handed, but have always just shot right handed guns without a problem. Will shooting a right handed bolt action prove to be enough of a problem to warrant trying to find a left handed one?

CZ make a lefty
While many lefties can (even if only because they have to) shoot well with right handed rifles the guys I know who have ended up getting a left handed rifle say that it is better. We mostly have the Anschutz 1416L or new CZs here in Tasmania and both seem to be doing well. It seems a pity Anschutz don't do a match 54 based left hander - they used to do it in an Exemplar pistol as a hornet, but I'm not sure if this is still going.

CZ LH is a great buy
I recently started shooting the steel game and am a left hander. Was relatively unimpressed with LH .22 rifle selection, until I went out on a limb and bought a CZ 452 LH, sight unseen. Read alot and asked for alot of opinions and in the end could not be more impressed. At a little less than $400 I think that it is a great buy. Accuracy is quite impressive. The trigger will never be like that of an Anschutz, but I recently shot another 452 with a Timney drop in trigger (~$80) that was amazing.

I'm very left handed. Started shooting a "neutral" air rifle with a break barrel as I read and asked questions. Found out my right eye was very dominant. So I switched to shooting rifles right handed with little learning curve. Here is how to find out which eye is dominant. Curl your index finger to touch the base of the thumb, leaving a small hole to look through. Hold the hand out at arm's length and focus on a light or other object in the distance. Keep looking at the object as you bring your hand toward your face. When your hand meets your face, you will be looking through your dominant eye.
