What's the big deal?

Post by chuck d »

Wondered what the fuss was about an Anchutz 1712 or a Pharr stock. Well mine showed up and all I can say is Holy $hit!! What a great set up. I have never held a rifle before that says "shoot me" like this one does. I just aquirred a new XTC rifle. But I am afraid it may be settting a while before I get it going. May be that I spend my summer shooting at small cast iron animals, instead of paper.

A 1712 in a Pharr stock is a wonderful thing to behold for sure. The only problem I ever had with mine was the disappointing score I posted shooting my first match with it. It seems I was too busy thinking "ooh, now this is nice" to pay attention to what I was doing. That or I just expected it to shoot itself.....

by the way:

Usually shooting scores right in class, too bad its the class below my classification!

Here's a pic of the new toy. It is a blast to shoot! and no looking for brass is a plus.
