First post and trigger question

Howdy all. I have read this board for awhile now but never registered or posted. Thanks for all the useful information and hello. Here is a first question that has been on my mind lately. What do others have their trigger pull weight set at in pounds. I set up a CZ 452 varmint with one of the tubular shim kits and a lighter spring. Playing with it at the house, I have it set it light but still very safe with a small amount of creep. I don't have a way to weigh it now but will buy a scale. I shot it today and will set it heavier and take out a little more creep. I cant squeeze relax squeeze, surprise when fired. With the trigger this light I have a anticipated shot. Anyway I would like to hear how others have there triggers set in pounds or ounces.

Two stage triggers on all, all set just a hair over 2lbs....

If you're going to use the gun in Hunter Class it has to be 2 lbs. or more. In standard class it just needs to be a 'safe trigger'. I have fount most are settng at 10-12 ozs. If you're new to the silhouette game you can find to NRA rule book at: http://www.nrahq.org/compete/nra-rule-books.asp

For what its worth, I set up CZ variants to have pull weights in the 2.1-2.3 range when using factory, Brooks, or Automation Solutions components. This is measured with a Lyman Digital scale. This allows a bit of a margin at weigh-in/trigger check. I've recently installed a Timney on a Silhouette model. I'll see if it will allow me to be a bit closer to 2lbs, and still be capable of lifting a 2 lb. weight consistently without letting the sear go.

I also put a Timney in my CZ452 Silhouette.It's a very crisp trigger with no creep at all. I've been using it all winter long indoors for NYS Sporterifle and it hasn't moved. When it I picked it up from Chicken George he had some on sale. Maybe he has a few left.
