Newbie w/question about the Weatherby MKXXII **Update!**
Hello again,
Got the Weatherby - took it out for a spin earlier today. I mounted an older Simmons 6.5-20x44 on it. Best group I could manage at 50 yards during this very hot and breezy day was with a few Eley Plus subsonic HP's that my FFL guy gave me. It is the group shown here, next to the factory test target. Even el cheapo Remington Target did quite well too, but not quite MOA. I'm quite sure that I can get smaller groups once I work on the trigger a bit, and shoot when the air is somewhat still and a bit cooler.
My FFL person was impressed with the factory test target. He said that even his Cooper wouldn't do that at 50 meters. Anyway - I happy so far. Now I just need to get a really good scope for it, do some work on the trigger, and I'll be ready to shoot at the local silhouette club.

I've been researching the silhouette game for the past week, and have found the answers to many questions here. However, there are a few questions that I could really use some help on.
I am considering the purchase of a Weatherby MKXXII for hunter class. It seems for the most part to conform to the rules I have found, but I cannot find out whether or not it has a tapered barrel. Yes - I have checked their website and rimfirecentral.com as well.
Also, can anyone tell me if it's trigger can be user adjusted down to within an ounce or two of the two-pound limit? Since it is an Anschutz 64 action, I would be surprised if it couldn't.

That rifle is practically purpose built for Hunter Class - it's a great choice and you'll love it! Weatherby lists the trigger as adjustable on their website without specifying a range, but I'd feel safe getting one if I were in that market.
