New Here.

Post by steve b. »

Howdy all,

I was searching around for information in the internet dealing with smallbore silhouette, and I found this place. I spent a few hours reading various posts, trying to get a feel for the members and type of information on the forum. From what I have read, there is some pretty good information here and I figured that I

I appreciate the interest, but I don't want to really start out here by selling stuff. If you dig around a bit, you will find some info on both.

I need to discuss some stuff with the board adminstrators and make sure I'm doing things correctly before I start down that path.

Anyhow, thanks.

Steve B,
Welcome to the forum, yes we are devoted group and one of the biggest issues is the lack of publicitiy. Some of us can get borderline verbally outspoken but we do stick to our opinions and can be fun to shoot with. Look forward to meeting you at some of the matches.

It's the only book of its kind; a fantastic effort.

Steve, Welcome.

Innocent is correct that one of the biggest downfalls of our sport is publicity to entice other shooters to join us. It is a great sport with even greater people.

Steve, this year I found information about your book and ordered it right away. I commend you for your efforts in writing a one of a kind book that is so useful for all of us SB rimfire shooters. I hope you revise it periodically to exclude ammo that has been discontinued or to include brand new ammo as well.

In regards to rifle silhouette shooting it is my opinion that it does not attract as many shooters as other shooting sports because as you well know it is not a discipline easy to master but for those that stick with it is a very rewarding endeavor. I have been at it for 30 years and will be more than glad to help answer any questions you may have regarding our sport.

I appreciate all the positive comments about the book. I'll do my best in promoting the sport in the magazine.

Thanks,

He'll be able to answer for sure, but I think I've seen his name on Small Caliber News before. That might be the one he's talking about.

How about it, Steve? Did I remember correctly? :)

It's Small Caliber News, good guess. I run the new Rimfire Department, and have alot of plans to help share new aspects of rimfire shooting with our readers.

I have long loved silhouette, the challenge, and the simple fact that you can't purchase 1st place. The only way to win is to put the time in, and to me that just seems right.

One thing that has always been a big part of my off-hand shooting has been physical fitness, and that is one of the first areas I want to discuss in the magazine in regards to silhouette and other forms of off-hand shooting.

Again, I appreciate everyone's positive comments, and hopefully we will get alot more attention to this website and to the sport of silhouette.
