tulsa red castle silhouette match

Post by glen ring »

I shot at Tulsa red castle range again ( Oklahoma) and I can't say enough about how smoothly the match is ran, and how friendly and helpful everyone is at that match. If you guys and gals haven't shot at that range you're really missing out.

Glen, please refresh my memory - when are your matches?

Shot my first match there on the 7-07. It is a first class place with first class people. The people were very friendly and helpful to new shooters, they made you feel at home. We appreciated all the help we got from Glenda, Ken, Ed, Mark, Glen and the rest of the shooters. We will try to make it back. We drove three hours to the Match and it was well worth the drive.

Thanks,
Greg

How many people were at the match. Do they have a dedicated smallbore silhouette range?

I would guess that there were around 15 to 20 shooters MOL.
The range is smallbore while we're shooting on it. There are other ranges being used nearby and it's always fun to watch the black powder silhouette guys shoot rams at 500 yards.

Very nice range, very nice folks. I drive about 3 hours to shoot there also.

Hey all and thanks Glenn for letting my little guys have your prize winnings after kicking my butt ha! they did enjoys the $4. Hope to see you in August so I can give you a better run.

Please all come join us. We had about 15-20 shooters last month and a couple guys from Kansas drove all the way down just to shoot and heck they even won the money. It was great to see new blood there.

The range shoots black powder silhouette also just on another weekend. We shoot SB on the 1st Sat of each month. So plan to come join. Practice is at 9 AM and Match starts at 10 AM. We have ages from 6 yrs old to the "wise ones" :).

See you there,

Will
