stevens favorite in sb cowboy?

i would like to shoot my stevens 30 in a competetive class,it seems not to fall into the rules for cowboy even though it is of the era.

now the 44 1/2 is listed in the allowed rules for black powder cartridge due to spirit intended for the class.

why arent low walls and the like allowed in small bore cowboy?the surely were used by cowboys since they preceded repeater lever actions

luckily my club has a run what ya brung club rifle class so i get to clank some , it just would be nice to get MY favorite in my silo book

what 'ca think?
