I knew they were all great people and I wish them the best. It was explained to me they would love to sell the business and are trying to do that. I also heard they have a limited time to accomplish that or they will shut it down.

Ian has a lease that is up in the spring, and he has a number of questions that any businessman would have to answer at that time,
1. renew (5 year commercial lease or something different)
2. expand
3.contract a little
4. take some time off
5. you may be aware that robertson composites is swamped with orders, has orders from very large gunmakers that he has diecded to forego in order to fill smaller orders such as sponsors and individuals in the usa and abroad,

give this some time in the spring, some in Canada are working towards a novel solution.

Ian has enough orders that with current staff he could work 18-24 months and not answer the phone,
enough said the rest is private and I hope you folks will respect that

It is interesting to have some insight into someone's personal business world, however I would still like to find another option for the composite stocks. It would be great to find a stable stock manufacturer with a reasonable lead time. It is sad it appears we have so many eggs in one challenging basket.

Thanks Shake, It is a nice looking stock.

I was under the assumption that Steve uses the Robertson facility to manufacture his stocks. He may cut the foam or something but does he do the carbon fiber? If he does not do the fiber then he is in the same boat as Mark. Wait, wait, wait, wait........

I prefer not to have a thumbhole as it significantly limits the available hand positions.

Steve makes them himself from start to finish. Yes his thumhole stocks he lays out the carbon into the mold and so on. He also makes hunter stocks, he is trying to get the mold perfected right now. B-)

Thanks Shakes. I will consider the thumbhole style. It is nice to see someone is making their own stocks and can control lead time etc.
