Question for Anschutz experts?

I can say with certainty that someone put the bolt on the wrong side, other than that your on your own!!
I have some catalogs from the 80's and 90's, on some models they list "options available" which pretty much means there were semi-custom rifles built if people were inclined, not hard to imagine that some folks were "inclined".

I bought it from a local gun store a few years back in Long Island NY. They said it was off an estate sale. Thats all I konw.

The very first, as far as I know 54 MS'S were in fact marked 1808 EDS, and were in the non thumbhole wood stocks, (I have one) then they were marked 54MS and still had the threaded barrel for the bloop tube, but it was not included, (I have one of those barrels), just had a short tube about 3-4 inches long, then they did away with the threaded muzzle and there was only a slight swell at the muzzle.

Know it's an old post, but this rifle does look like a newer version of a Running Boar model, I have two older ones and they are both different, but both are marked 1408 ED and the 1973 model also has "Super" on the barrel. One has a thumb hole stock the other has a sillouette stock.....

Each of mine have a threaded barrel, bloop tube ext, brass muzzle caps, and weight systems that look sorta like the rifle in the picture.... Here is a link to two Anschutz sites for different model 1408's:

My 1973 model looks a little different than either of the above and my 1966 has a thumb hole stock with barrel weights....
