CZ 452 cocking issue.. any idea's?

I have a CZ 452 Silhouette model rifle I purchased earlier this year and installed the Brooks trigger kit on using the heaviest spring. Lately I have had intermittent issues when cycling the bolt for the next shot and not having any trigger/sear/firing pin engagement. It doesn't happen all the time but its happening and is frustrating during a timed match because I have no idea it did not get cocked until I try to make the next shot.

Any idea as to what the issue could be since it happens now and then. When it happens I have to take the clip out and cycle the action several times until it catches again. I plan to take it down and check it out but being that its only occasionally doing this I am not sure I can recreate it with the action removed but I plan to try.

So what say ya'll about this problem? Anyone encounter this before? What might my problem be caused by?

Did you put a tube in to decrease sear engagement? if so, replace it with the next thinner tube (to increase sear engagement).
I could not eliminate ALL the creep and stay safe with the Brooks kit, but its worlds better. I'd prefer a tiny bit of creep to having an ND.

I put the thickest tube in when I installed the kit. I was wondering if that was my next thing to change out to give everything a bit more room to do it's thing. Thanks for the fast response I have a feeling you nailed it right on the head. It still has a bit of creep even with the thickest tube installed but then again it does want to just go bang at times as if everything is barely engaging.

Will work on it tomorrow after my airgun Field Target and hopefully Silhouette match as well and report back my findings as to the fix.

Steve E is correct in my opinion. change tubes that should fix the problem.

I think it did the trick but I won't know for sure till tomorrow when I can step outside and try to run a few boxes through it quickly. Burn up some cheap HV stuff to make sure its reliable now. It feels as if it has more creep in it now but it is still smooth in dry firing.

Will post final results tomorrow after some field testing.

Thanks again for you input I am almost positive that this was the issue I was having. Now I just hope the next thinner tube is reliable so I can get it all locked down. BTW I am trying the washer seperation technique to float the barrel from the lug out, wth huh worth a shot and seems to do good since I first put the kit in.

Shot 50 rounds today without a hickup and another 25 or so cycles of the action on a dry fire round. I can feel the slight bit more creep that was added but it is minor and smooth at least. Thanks again for all the help.

BTW I used the next thickest tube. If I find it still ends up missing a cycle I will go to the next in line but I feel confident this one did the trick.

If this is a new rifle remember it will smooth up with use and you may have to use thinner tubes over time as the parts work in. Enjoy! This rifle will only get better with use and care!
