Isn't late in the year for a match in Montana? I would think you would have snow on the ground by then. Must make it hard to find the animals when you reset.

Highs are currently in the 70s and 80s in Missoula, MT, and this match is only a couple weeks away. Unless something very unusual happens, I'd say there will be more issues with dust, wind and mirage than with snow.

Besides, we know how to shovel if we have to ;)

Its rare we get snow early in Sept, but when we do it rarely lasts more that a few hours. And its usually all slushy. But I don't think that will be an issue this year. So come on out and shoot!

What do you shovel old stranger?

I always take my insulated coveralls to the matches in Missoula. You never know what to expect. They are at a low elevation so it isn't too bad, not like it use to be in Lewiston MT in Oct. Much like you can count on rain in Pe Ell for the CBC, you could count on some snow Lewiston in Oct.
