No hard numbers for you, but the plastic magazines are considerably lighter though I much prefer steel.

Same experience here, Propwash, but Silhouette13 said there was a weight problem, so far be it from me to challenge someone else's weight issues...propwash wrote:Unless you use a gargantuan scope you shouldn't need to worry, I think mine with scope and rings (I recommend BKL 257 rings(around 2.2oz. per set) comes in around 7lb. 9oz.

just got it but havent weighted it yet, i have a leupold 6.5x20 boosted (and borrowed) and will be putting on either a weaver t24 or a leupold 25x silo scope. it does appear a little lighter than the ns 522 i was shooting.
i have mr brooks 11mm to weaver adapters because i already had burris high rings( not the sigs) the rings are abit heavy but i am saving on the mounts.
thanks for your input gents.

I wasn't saying anything about his weight....if anything that varmint is more beautiful than when we first met. Even with a metal magazine.BlauBear wrote:Same experience here, Propwash, but Silhouette13 said there was a weight problem, so far be it from me to challenge someone else's weight issues...

Varmints are handsome rifles and I highly recommend them for Silhouette.
