Manfrotto?
So I have a spotting scope and tripod. But the vortex head on the tripod kinda sucks. I heard Manfrotto was the way to go, but they have a million models. Does anyone have a model number of a Manfrotto head that they like?
I buy all my guns from t-rex. He's a small arms dealer.

model 3265,works very well for me.Squeeze lever grip to position scope, release it stays locked.you may need an adaptor for your scope.

I have a Manfrotto head I'd be willing to sell you, PM me your email address and I'll send you some pictures. I just took it off my tripod and replaced it with the 410.OldRanger wrote:So I have a spotting scope and tripod. But the vortex head on the tripod kinda sucks. Re: Manfrotto?
Just purchased a Manfrotto 190XPro3. This is just a tripod and you have to buy the head separately. My wife is an avid birder so she put a Gitzo Series 2 GH2720QR. I plan to use that head for my spotting scope (celestron Regal M2). It's a fairly pricey head but I thought this might be a good time to buy once/cry once. The single knob control for all movement makes it very easy to use. I bought a Manfrotto head MHXPRO-BHQ6 to use on the same tripod for camera use. Right now Manfrotto has a $50 rebate if you buy a tripod and head.
