2015 Conard Bernhardt Cup - Day 1 results
Greetings from the Great Northwest. Beautiful Day 1 of the Conard Bernhardt Cup! Sunny and mild with a few moments of precipitation. What a great venue and a great match put on here. Take a bow Steve Wooster!
Day one results are attached here. The range is in the dead zone of internet and cell service, so no chance to post live. Sorry.

'Scuse the ignorant question but what type competition is this? Type of rifle , size of target and distances?

ALPHAWOLF45....this is a smallbore rifle silhouette match. This is a big event held in the little town of PeEll, Washington. It is held every year to honor the memory of one of the best silhouette shooters ever from that area, Conard Bernhardt. It draws the top shooters from around the country, some from even farther! Their prize table is legendary.
The competitors are shooting at standard NRA smallbore animal targets at regulation distances of 40, 60, 77, and 100 meters. Most any accurate .22 rimfire rifle with a decent scope will do. But, the tool of choice most use is the Anschutz 17XX series .22 rifle topped with Leupold optics.

Steve mixed things up a little at the door prize table Saturday night.
As usual everyone got their names called and got to take their pick of the prizes. Bricks of Wolf and SK ammo, cleaning kits as well as gun smithing screw driver sets from Brownells etc.
He at specified intervals added some of the big boy prizes.
Roy Church almost didn't notice that he had added a 1712 barreled action to the table.
Mark Mobbs took possesion of a Kowa scope. I was very happy to take a surprise envelope and find a crisp $100 bill there in.
On the last day at the end of shoot off's Steve awarded the B winner trophy to a fine new shooter (young lady) from Victoria Canada as well as a Vortex spotting scope and tri-pod from same. More ammo was available thanks to Mr. Braverman as well as certificates for barrels from Shilen, Lilja and the like.
A fantastic weekend was had by all. Can't wait until next year. Next stop....Iron Man!!!
