Pharr 700 6.5 Creedmoor A.I. T24 Ammo FS
I will let this sit here for one week, then it is going on gunbroker.com with a $1 starting bid.
Remington 700 BDL short action. Krieger 8 twist stainless barrel 25" long chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor Ackley Improved. Pharr RTS stock with a 14-1/2" trigger pull. Davies two stage trigger set to about 1-1/2lbs first stage, two lbs. total. Callahan firing pin. Weaver T24 with big dot in Pearson mounts. Bore is excellent, around 400 rounds thru it. Comes with a set of dies, 95 empties, 92 loaded rounds, a hard case, load data. 8lbs-15oz. as it sits. It shoots the light bullets about 3/4 moa or so, the heavy bullets in one hole. It all goes together, I will not separate it. It has not been used but 2-3 matches in as many years, so here it goes. The price is $2000, and I'll pay the freight to your FFL. Address any inquiries to [email protected]. I don't have the skills to load pics to this site, so email me for them.

CopperTop, I know this is already sold but I am curious about the Ackley Improved version of the 6.5 Creedmoor. This is the first I think I have heard of an AI version of the Creedmoor case. Who made your dies? You may not have fired enough rounds at 400 shots to answer this, but did you notice an improvement over the standard 6.5 Creedmoor?
Cheers,
Trent

Re: Pharr 700 6.5 Creedmoor A.I. T24 Ammo FS
I just thought it would be neat at the time to Ackley the Creedmoor case. I suspect there is so little performance increase that it is purely academic. The Creedmoor already has a fairly straight body and square shoulder to begin with. Honestly, it was more trouble and expense than it was worth. I made the dies myself by using the chamber reamer to open up another set of dies. I adapted the sizing die to accept a Wilson neck bushing to neck size only, being that the Ackley cases never need body sizing anyway. Stick with the standard Creedmoor or a .260, they work just as good, and it'll save you some money!
