Where to find a Ans 1712 for sale

Post by glocker17 »

Been looking for a while, and have decided to spend a little $ and get a 1712. I have contacted champion shooters, as recommended, and they are out. Any other places to check, a nice used one would be ideal as well. Hoped someone here might be able to help. For that matter, are any other of the 1700 series equipted with 2 stage trigger and suitable stock?
I have begun assembling other needed items as well, just need to find a few shooters close by!

Thanks

Blake Bowen

PS Looking to start an informal match in South Texas if anyone is interested. Would be in McAllen Brownsville area.

Try Champions Choice. They might have some in stock. Or try GunBroker.com someone on there is bound to have a 1712 for sale or try benchrest.com. hope this helped. Ive heard but dont hold me too it, that you can take a 1702 or a 1502 which are the .17hm2 and convert to .22 caliber but you have to replace the barrel as well. I think the magazines are the same, not sure.

Saw the one on gunsamerica, but price is a couple hundred dollar over what I have seen other places.

I guess a rebarreled 1702 would be good, but dont know how much can be saved by the time it is rebarrelled by a good smith.

We'll see.
