Ode to Steel Chickens

After having completed my first 5 in a row in smallbore after 2 years, I felt the need to express myself. Here it goes.

Work to me gets in the way
of said game which I like to play.
The downing of chickens made of steel
quelling the longing that my heart does feel.

Having downed my first group of five,
thus creating a desire for which I now strive
of a first completion of the ten string
such exuberance to me would this bring.
