2014 Southern Nationals NRA Non-shooting Silhouette Party
After graduating from rehab for my new complete left knee, I have started to plan the 2014 Party! As usual Jerry and I have consulted with the crystal ball and others to try and improve our first Party. Specific parts that have been changed are as follows:
Friday night - We will have the traditional Friday night opening meal of fried catfish and the trimmings. We will also have a Mixed Drink Contest at 5:00 and a Karaoke Contest following the meal. We are securing the totally unbiased Judges for the Mixed Drink Contest that are ex AA members! (I am sure that Dustin and his committee can start the Coonass Team Shoot at 4 so that everyone can participate in the Mixed Drink contest that wishes to) Please let us know when you send in your entries (NO CHARGE for entering the Mixed Drink or Cooking Contest) if you need for us to provide burners for you to cook on.
Cooking Contest - This will be held Saturday after the matches and will be expanded to cover four (4) categories - Gumbo, Chili, Ribs and Desserts. We are bringing back the same Judges as they were so entertaining and semi-professional.
Door Prizes - ALL Party entrants are eligible for the Door Prizes and we will give away all the firearms that are donated on Saturday at noon and will put ALL the names back into the pot so that everyone will be eligible for the firearms. I have written to all of our great sponsors and we will have rifles, scopes, other optics, ammunition, knives and the general great assortment of items to be given away.
THE PRICE FOR THE PARTY WILL BE THE SAME AS $75/PERSON AS LAST YEAR!!! NO GUESTS WILL BE ADMITTED AS ALL THAT ARE ON THE PREMISES WILL BE PARTY PARTICIPANTS AND ELIGIBLE FOR THE DOOR PRIZES!!
I have not had the opportunity to talk with Dustin by am sure that he will respond to this post with the new and improved 2014 Southern Nationals NRA Regional Air Rifle & Smallbore Rifle Silhouette Championship.
