Yuma AZ gunshow report
Yuma AZ gunshow first thing this morning, had a line to get in but only about 15 minutes, good crowd, lots of guns and not too much junk. Only one table of homemade fudge.
As usual, many many overpriced worn out hulks of old military rifles from bygone wars. Several tables of nice old leverguns and a few beautiful schutzen rifles. The ususal tables loaded with Walmart ammo at quadruple the price, nobody buying that I saw.
Some 10-22 beaters at 250-300 bucks. Tons and tons of EBR's of every description, nobody standing line for these either. Quite a few good bolt action hunting rifles at good prices.
Managed a couple of deals. Got really nice, as new, Remington 541T with Japan 6x24 scope for $450, this one will be used by our club down here for our twice-yearly drawing. Other one, 1920's era (?) Marlin 39, about 80-85% with quite a bit of case color left, good blue on the metal, bright shiney bore, also for $450, that one is MINE!
Wanted to post pix but Photobucket on the fritz today, wont upload for some reason. Will try another day.
