Rebarreling

Hi there first time poster. Sitting in my safe is a very old Winchester 92 in 25-20 calibre. Functionally the rifle is in good working order but the barrel is in absolutely terrible condition with no rifling left and terrible pitting along the full length of the tube. I've tried both jacketed and cast in it and it doesn't group rather it patterns. I know that relining is allowed in the "rules" but as it is near impossible here in Australia to obtain a barrel liner I am pretty much stuck with one option that being to put in a new barrel. I don't want to purchase another firearm as I'll have to invest in another permit/ reloading dies etc.. Surely fitting a new 25 cal tube in as close as possible configuration to the original barrel should be allowed to be considered. Brownells have the Redmans liners in stock and there are gunsmiths over here that can fit them but Brownells won't even export the liners to the gunsmiths. Was just wondering about how people feel about rebarelling. At the end of the day all I'm trying to achieve is to restore the firearm to its original capabilities. I don't want to upset anybody just asking for opinions. Thanks.
