Re: Colorado Senators recalled
One of the problems is we have to fight this fight on 2 levels. First we need to fix the states, then make sure the Feds stay out of it. I wish those framers of the constitution had been more specific. Ah well, as the joke goes what do you call 2 gun grabbing senators removed? A good start!

Re: Colorado Senators recalled
For openers, the framers saw the Constitution as an enabling document with power emanating from the people and the states and conferred ever so limited on the federal government.....somewhere that got cofused probably because the feds usurped the authority and no one stopped it.....hence custom and practice rule the day. The biggest threat are bureaucrats....they're not elected and with the federal civil service they are impossible to fire.........We are obligated to speak up...LOUDLY

It does send a solid message nationwide, so we're all grateful to Colorado.

Re: Colorado Senators recalled
I've got to confess it's reassuring to see this happen.
I was a little surprised that this went down in CO when the folks over here in WA went the other way and introduced a bill to not enforce any new federal gun control laws here in WA. We're pretty lucky in that even the liberal western WA elected folks get the fact that is still a WESTERN state with these sensibilities.
Recently a number of business in Seattle at the prompting of Operation Ceasefire declared their businesses as "gun free zones". After the local public derided said businesses the signs magically went away in less than a week.
Per chance they saw this video on www.youtub.com.

My bride to be pointed out this link to a story the local news did on the backlash to the "gun free zone" stickers. Don't mess with Grandma!
