How cold is too cold?

More expensive to feed, but worth it.

I'm gonna break out my 25-35. If I'm just shooting for giggles it will be with a lever gun. I'll save my matchkings for more serious efforts. Al

We shoot no matter what always a few guys who show up. Virginia rarely gets so cold guys don't come. Last Sat Am match cold windy white Critters hard to see against the snow on the banks. Did not lay in a supply of black paint. Had to hit the rails with hammers to break the ice off before we could set. Worse score for a long time.

Aftenoon match sun came out wind went down warmed up to 40's and had a great time.

OK, right now they are saying we have 3-6" of snow for tomorrow. I think this will be great. Bring a snow shovel and some warm clothes!

Hello Bob, CSLC did shoot yesterday and I might add it was a beuatiful day! It was cold, but if you dressed properly you didn't mind it (7F degrees when I left my house at 6AM) there was the slightest breeze every once in a while but not sustainred. I believe there were 13 shooters. It was nice to get out and start the 2013 season.

Yes there were 13 shooters for the Saturday match. It went well and no setters were frozen by the time we were done. Rams were a little tricky though, I think they were frozen to the rails. I dung three myself, I watched someone else ding one. The snow shook off and it did a little slide across the rail then stood there and smiled! It's part of the game. I'm looking forward to Feb already!

It's going to be over 70 Sunday. It will be a great day to shoot HP at 3 points.

This last Sunday, March 24, was our First HP match of the season. It wasn't cold but the snow was so bad we had white-out and you couldn't see the pigs let alone the turkeys and rams. Needless to say we didn't have a march.....the point being that sometimes cold isn't the problem :-\
