Scope Lens Covers

Post by teetertotter »

When I added the 3 inch long sunshade to my scope, I now have an overall scope length of 18-1/2 inches. The OEM stretch lens caps will not reach that distance. I have a flip up cap on the eye piece end and with keeping sunshade attached, no reason to cap that end. I remove the flip up lens cap when shooting. I did see a complete scope cover made by Scopecoats that seems pretty nice, which gives total protection.

I am looking for some thoughts on the subject. I looked at the bra type, but don't know how long they will stretch.

I found a camera lense cap that snaps in place. Works fine

On my Leupold scopes I use the threaded scope caps. They thread onto the sunshade so it works for me. Try replacing the elastic so it will reach?
