Top Notch SB Rifle For Sale

Post by coppertop »

First Class Custom Smallbore Rifle for sale. I think I am going to give up smallbore for other interests. Anschutz 54 repeater action. 22" Lilja barrel. Pharr R/T stock with a 13-7/8 length of pull. Pearson rings and base. Pharr bottom metal and trigger shoe. Wonderful annie two stage trigger barely makes 2 lbs. Total weight of gun is 8lb-6oz with a Leupold BR-24. Scope is not included. I don't think there was an option left out when this was built. Mark Pharr built this rifle for Chicken George Rhode several years back. I bought it from him when he quit shooting two years ago. I have personally shot a 38/40 with this gun, so it will do what it is intended to do. It is as accurate as it looks. I will be attending Winnsboro, and I will be using this rifle. It will be available to anyone who wants to test drive it if it has not already been sold. As far as I can calculate, it would take around $2800 to build this rifle. I will sell it for $2200 or keep it. Please reply if you have any questions. I can't figure out how to add pictures on this thread, so send your e-mail address to [email protected] if you would like some pics.

It's hard for me to beleive that there are no takers on this one. A finer smallbore silhouette rifle can't be built. I might be interested in some trades like vintage American made lever or pump rifles if you've got them.

What type lever guns? I have two 9422 Legacy limited addation 22, 22mag consecitive serial # new in the box, or a Winchester pre 64 88 in 243. Let me know if this is anything you would be interested in. Thanks Tom.

I still have this. I see that a single shot just sold for $2200, so I think the repeater must be worth at least as much. I might be interested in trading for a 50 BMG. Or maybe some nice S&W or Colt revolvers.

Is this the 1712 action and trigger or the 54 msr action?

It is a 54-18 MS-R action and trigger. I guess I am not able to convey with words or pictures that this is completely first class all the way. If one were to start with an unlimited budget, one would not be able to assemble a better smallbore silhouette rifle to meet the requirements for both hunter and standard class for any amount of money. I hope this answers any other questions that may arise.
