.32 Winchester Special

I've got an old (manuactured in 1919) Winchester model 1894 in .32 WS. Plus several hundred 170 grain bullets and plenty of powder. The gun is unique as it has flip up rear sight leafs calibrated for 50, 100, and 200 yards. It' fairly accurate; off sand bags, it shoots a four inch group at 100 yards. Being a light weight carbine, the gun is hard on the shoulder. Has anyone used such an antique for this game? If so, how did it go? Thanks.

I have a Marlin 336 .32 Special made in 1949, I have shot it quite a bit with the Lasercast 170 grain bullets. Knocks 'em down pretty well, all you need to do is hit 'em.

I started out in this game with a 1913 vintage .32 SPL. It was my grandfathers, and I really liked shooting it, but there are a lot more bullet choices with a 30-30. Al Foust
