Texas State Air Rifle match

Post by psteiger »

Coming soon. September 29th 2012 at Bayou Rifles. Saturday. Sunday will be a smallbore match. We also have the option of doing a benchrest (yuk) or a CLA match on Sunday, but we need you to tell us if you'd rather do something else. Bill Motl is cooking again. YUM! And we will have a healthy prize table. We noticed the Tennessee people have moved their smallbore match to conflict with our Air Rifle match, as they were a trifle upset Texans took the first 15 places in their state match last year. =)) I guess it will be up to the Foridians to take our place. Loaner guns will be available on a first come basis. Legal loaner guns are a tad more. <again I kill myself> :ymdevil: We will have entry forms available soon. Range will be open Friday for practice. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

Tennessee moved its state match to try and improve the weather conditions for the competitors. Its kind of funny but by the match sheet I only see 3 competitors that were from Texas although they did very well against the triple A shooters from Tennessee how did these three masters win the top 15 spots?

Greg, he's just whining cuz he can't go to Tennessee. That and he ALWAYS get beaten by kids. :D The Texas guys run a good match. Good food, friendly people and a nice range. I hear the pie is to die for in Chattanooga.

=)) No!!!!! not that, Please not that =)) =))

With the up coming move there wouldn't even be a chance of going this year. Hoping to do more next year with cheaper flights and more options out of Phx.

I was hoping to do Florida or Tennessee this year. I missed Fla. I'm bummed I won't be able to go. Nothing like getting JJP spooled up and spittin.

It's gonna be a good match this year. Not many air rifle matches anymore. Kinda like trying to find an HP match in Texas. I have to go 900 miles to El Paso.

We do have a very active SB and CLA group here. We can shoot every weekend in something. We even shoot Wed night matches during DST. Down in Monterrey they shoot nights too.

y'all do good at Nationals.

We will likely be bringing a larger contingent of South La. Shooters than we did last year. Only a few here shoot those John Wayne style silhouettes so my vote would be for a match like last year. With the regular SB match on Sunday.

I thought you could shoot HP a few hours outside of Houston towards San Antonio? Our pieces parts are just about all in place for the HP/CLA/SB/AG Silhouette range. Just need to go collect a few things and get the actual building of it done. HP roughly a one hour drive away JOY JOY :ymparty: Oh and the owner has already given me the go ahead to show up anytime I want to practice. ^:)^

Trespassers will be shot.
Survivors will be shot again!

Don't forget, we will have a 22 rifle match on the 30th (Sunday) for those of you wanting to hang around. Entry for that is $10. Lunch is included.
Range is looking good and the cooler weather is feeling nice.
The range will be open Friday for practice, probably take me a bit to get the targets set up, but I doubt anyone will show up before 11am. =))
If anyone is interested, Larry Engle is having an Air Rifle silhouette match on this Saturday. 9-10am practice, Matches 10-12am. It is FREE, but cans of paint are accepted, yellow and white preferred.....
Lones said he'd show if Mark Pharr would come, but Mark is supposed to judge a jello wrestling contest......

Looking foward to seeing y'all there.

My money is on jjp to win Tennessee, Go Peep Club!
