CZ 452 American Action Screw Torque
My new Neiko Pro 10-50 inch pound screw driver type arrived yesterday. I immediately went to the Silhouette range this morning and started at 15 inch pounds. Long story short.....17 inch pounds is the magic number for my 452, LH, American. My rifle is not bedded. I thought I would share.

You should bed it and float the action and try it again. I'll bet it would be a lot more than that. You could have a pressure point on the bbl and that will change with the change in humidity.

Re: CZ 452 American Action Screw Torque
Jerry, you are correct as there was a pressure point with factory 25 inch pounds about 2 inches long on the left side. When reassembling, I heavily oiled the outside of the barrel......etc, when resetting the trigger spring 3 weeks ago. Since torquing a few days ago, there was no need to remove everything again. The 17 pounds torque, was retested a day later and now have settled on 20 inch lbs and restested a day later with positive results. It appears I will have to bed the barrel and will wait when season is over for friend of mine to do from our club. I am not experienced at this like our BR guys at the club with years experience. You are right, Jerry!
I also learned today that Aquila SE shoots tighter groups at all distances in my 452 American than CCI SV which leads up my barrel and accuracy falls off after 300 rounds or so. I have Aquila Match Rifle to test, which I should have middle of next week to try which is priced right, too. No justification for REAL Match grade priced ammo right now.
