McMillan drops Bank of America (anti gun)
I am going to talk this over with my wife and consider dropping BofA from our mortgage. This is confirmed and has made gun industry news.

From McMillan’s Facebook page:
Today Mr. Ray Fox, Senior Vice President, Marlet Manager, Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking came to my office. He scheduled the meeting as an “account analysis” meeting in order to evaluate the two lines of credit we have with them. He spent 5 minutes talking about how McMillan has changed in the last 5 years and have become more of a firearms manufacturer than a supplier of accessories.
At this point I interrupted him and asked “Can I possibly save you some time so that you don’t waste your breath? What you are going to tell me is that because we are in the firearms manufacturing business you no longer want my business.”
“That is correct” he says.
I replied “That is okay, we will move our accounts as soon as possible. We can find a 2nd Amendment friendly bank that will be glad to have our business. You won’t mind if I tell the NRA, SCI and everyone one I know that BofA is not firearms industry friendly?”
“You have to do what you must” he said.
“So you are telling me this is a politically motivated decision, is that right?”
Mr Fox confirmed that it was. At which point I told him that the meeting was over and there was nothing let for him to say.
I think it is import for all Americans who believe in and support our 2nd amendment right to keep and bare arms should know when a business does not support these rights. What you do with that knowledge is up to you. When I don’t agree with a business’ political position I can not in good conscience support them. We will soon no longer be accepting Bank of America credit cards as payment for our products.

Trent,
I just went to BOA's website and canceled my BOA credit card using the online chat feature. It took about 10 min. and I got to tell the agent waht my reason was. He wanted to refer me to a team of specialists on the matter. I told him if they were specialists they didn't need my input to figure out why they will be losing business. They can figure it out themselves.

Noted and passed along to friends. I know of two of them who have closed BofA accounts today because of this.

Guys,
I've not done business with big banks, rip-off artists, that have bribed our bought and paid for politicians since well before I closed my Wells Fargo account in 1989. Those MF's are thieves and corrupting influences of our political process. We should really tell them what we think by never doing business with them, ever again. I use a local credit union that doesn't screw me. It doesn't matter whether they spout the politically correct 2nd Amendment stuff. They will say whatever they think will allow them to rip you off the most. Vote with your wallet. Tell the big banks to f'off.

Turns out our home mortgage is no longer with BofA.
I am amazed at the outright audacity of BofA pulling a stunt like this.

Thanks for passing the word on this. I don't do business with BofA and never will. We need to make sure none of these types of businesses get our money to help finance politicians that would love nothing more than to take away our 2nd. We also need to compile some lists of those that want our rights upheld and make sure those get passed around as well so we can do business with those that are like minded. Unfortunately many of these corporate giants think they are immune and play the PC BS games all the time and it is time they are shown they are not immune.
I work for a large global corp and they used to say we could not bring guns with us to work and leave them in the car. Then our state passed a Constitutional Amendment that says our State Law trumps any and all Corporations in house BS policies. The day that was passed I sent a copy to the HR lady and explained to her that while they may have a corporate policy for no guns we have a Amendment that guarantees us the right no matter what. So the Corporate Policy was nothing more than ass wipe and she needed to be aware of that now.
Basically enough politicians had the common sense to realize that not only can the Corporations not keep you safe at work they can not guarantee your safety coming and going from work. As such we are allowed to make sure WE can do so for ourselves. What a novel concept!

fine and dandy, but, where.....
This is all nice, but, how about naming banks that are pro-gun?
Telling me where I shouldn't put my money, doesn't inform me where to (put my money).
Right now I'm looking at credit unions. There is one at my office (but, not sure if I want to stay there too much longer). I'm a member of the penfed.com, but, they don't have ATMs within 100 miles.
There's not many local banks in Richmond, VA.
