Different loads for rams in pistol cartridge?
Do you guys shoot different loads for rams in pistol cartridge, specifically .357 mag, or do you shoot the same loads all the way through?
I'm planning on shooting a 125gr bullet and wondering whether I should order a box or 2 of heavier bullets (158gr?) for rams.

Dustin,
125's will work fine for rams, as long as you are not shooting them real slow. When I shot a ,357 I shot my 125's around 1435fps. ans never lost a ram.

Re: Different loads for rams in pistol cartridge?
We shoot 125gr bullets at 1000 to 1100FPS and they've never failed to take down a Pistol Cartridge ram. If it's windy, we will occasionally switch to a 158gr bullet running the same velocity. Seems to be less affected by the wind than the 125s.

PS - In 357 Mag cases we use 4.5gr of 700X with 125s, 5gr of 700X with 158s.
