I woke back up. Only passed out for a couple weeks with that number. On another note I'm quite intrested! You said the flutted lija barrel worked as far as weight concerns go? Also a 40x action would be heavier than a single shot Anschutz action, am I correct to assume such? Thanks for the info, and beautiful rifle Paul. Hopefully I'll get to see it in flesh in Winni!

Yes I would say the 40x is a little heavier than the 54 Anschutz action. The 40x is a solid bottom action that is nothing more than a 700 Remington in all dimensions. You may be able to get by with a little longer barrel with the Anschutz action. Would suggest going with the FXIII Leupold to save weight also. I love my 40x but because the wood stock is heavier than the composite stock it changes the balance of the rifle. For me I prefer my rifle to be front heavy and the 40x has more of a center balance point.
