What Triggers fit?

The trigger on 1712 is great, but there's better, right? Naturally, I'd like to keep the 2lb limit for hunter class.

There's always something better. The "Supermatch" trigger is more sophisticated, more adjustable and has, ultimately, a little better feel. I know because everybody says so. But that's the ONLY reason I know. I have both. It is very difficult to improve on the 1712 trigger.

That's very sad news for an addicted tinkerer with a 1712 on order. I cleaned out the gun locker to get the 1712 and my son has forbidden me to touch his CZ. This is sounding grim.

Grim? A 1712 is great! I'm happy with the 1712 trigger. I just got it and I'm tinkering with the 2nd stage sear engagement. I think it will be fine when I find the sweet spot in the side screw adjustment.

It will take time to get comfortable enough with it to do more than clean it, and even then I'm stressing over doing that right! It is just steel and wood, right? No easy way to hurt it, right? Right?

Just use an old GI M16 steel rod with a nice ammonia based solvent on a stainless brush and you'll be fine..............

I'm jealous!!

My CZ Silhouette will jsut have to do for now. If I close my eyes it kinda feels like a 1712FWT I touched once..............

The CZ Silhouette is a great rifle, particularly for the money. Mine came with a 2lb. 8oz. trigger easily turned down to 2x2, and just needed the thinnest Brooks tube for a real crisp trigger. Consider tuning up the balance point and getting the LOP right and you'll have a really fine rifle.

I like mine! I'm still dialing her in. I used a set screw to fix the lug to the barrel, and bedded from the action toand including the lug. Second up from the skinniest Brooks tube and she's just over 2lbs with hardly any creep at all. I swapped the plastic magwell for a steel one from Brnomann so I never melt it with solvent (and it added a touch of needed weight).
I'm looking forward to shooting Hunter with it!
I shot horrible with it her firsst match last month, but it was more the wind (sheep and turkeys had to be taped to stay on the rail!) than the gun that kept me in B class........plus the cigarettes and coffee I can't give up.

When I can hold the difference, maybe someday I'll have an Annie. (correction, a 1712 or 54.18, as my standard gun is technically an Annie: Savage Anschutz Mark10D......).
