Just finished the program for the 2012 Last Dance Match. We should have it to the printer and back in time for mailing the first of April. We will try to get the full program online here at SC, FB and www.winnsborogunclub.com in about a week. Lots of new awards and ways to win the door prizes!

Send your name and address to me via a PM or just call Robin at 318-435-9081. I will be more active on this site now that the hard work of developing the program is over. Now is the time that Robin really works for this match. I have about 70 hours invested now and will take a break for about two weeks from working on the match. If you haven't been here before you will see what a great Gun Club membership we have. WGC has less than 50 members and about 60% work making the match run smoothly. I just get the glory and they do the work!

We will treat you so many ways that you have to like at least one of them!

I'm really looking forward to it, and so sad it is the last one. I've heard a lot of great things about it from the people I know that have been.

I hope that everyone that comes has a great time. Jerry and I have had the best times of our lives hosting this match as Co-Match Directors. We have attempted to hold a match that would be like the one we would most attend. We actually traveled a lot in the first years that we shot silhouette until either old age or physical ailments made us quit! It was during these travels to a lot of states shooting that we met the best people in the world. They even inspired us and we stole most of the great ideas that have been incorporated into this match from them! From Florida to Washington states we have stolen ideas. I think that the only original thing we came up with was attending the SHOT Show each year and visiting with our great sponsors and soliciting others. We did do the traditional Southern thing of sending out actual "Thank you" letters and a small gift of Louisiana and Texas products that were donated by Tony Chachere's and West Texas Pepper Traders. We did this so long that our sponsors knew us when we arrived at their booths! Writing the letters after the SHOT Show to all of our sponsors and then following up with a personal phone call to secure the sponsorship and make sure that we got an ad in the program as also a plus for us. The most important thing that happened to us is the the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation & Tourism recognized how much this match meant to our community with the visitation and expenditures of the competitors. Without the support of the Lt. Governor through several administrations we would not have been able to offer the quality of match that we became known for.

Enough of my ranting, just come and enjoy the Last Dance!
