SB Cowboy Lever Action

Having never shot this before, what size are the targets (1/2 scale)? and what distances are the animals. How heavy would you estimate the rams to be?

Targets are halfscale chickens at 40, pigs at 50, turkeys at 75, and Rams at 100 (could be in either yards or meters, depending on the range).

I'm guessing the smallbore 1/2 scale ram to weigh 10-12lbs, depending on whether made of mild or plate steel and the thickness used.

You can get the scale drawings from the NRA website. That will give you exact scaled sizes. The rule book, also available on their site, will give you thickness information so that the steel does not get shot up -destroyed that is. Everyone hopes the steel gets shot up!!! lol

Hope you can find some matches nearby so you can give it a go! Good Luck and Good Shooting.

Thanks for the info guys. What impresses me is that the lowly 22lr rimfire can take down a 10 to 12 pound ram at 100 meters.
