Smallbore Events for 2012..?

Post by steve b. »

For the next year, are there any events in the following areas?

1. Utah
2. Southern Cal
3. Arizonia
4. Northern Nevada

I'm looking to plan out my travels for 2012, with Raton and Wins already on the list.

Thanks!

Jason I was told the Concord cup is also known as the Ironman. Is this still true?

BH, the Conard Cup properly called the Conard Bernhardt Cup in the last full weekend in April at Pe Ell, WA. The Ironman is a regional match in Montana the same weekend the Southern Nationals.

Jason,

I'll think on it. I need some events that I can drive to in 6 hours or so. Raton and South Nat will probably be my only two plane trips for next year. I will either pick up Conard or Ironman in place of south Nat for 2013.

The second Saturday of every month at PALA (just north of San Diego) is a registered smallbore and pistol cartridge match shot back-to-back.

No need to wait until next year, join the postal match using the TQ-14 targets at 50 feet. Inside or outside, rules generally follow the smallbore book. $20 gets you 10 'record' targets, need to be fired before April 1st, 2012. Need a program?? [email protected]

Don't know how much feedback you have- hope this isn't redundant: Hassayampa has matches at Ben Avery Shooting Range- I17 ( Black Canyon Highway) and Carefree Highway - N/W cor. High power 2nd Sundays and smallbore 4th Sundays (5th Sunday, too, usually) Jim Hebenstreit has his e-mail address in Shooting Sports mag. Ask him or send me your snail mail address and he'll get you a copy of 2012 schedule. We have some alternate programs in months with the State hi-power championships, President's match during State Assn. meetings and a two day Members' Memorial match. Club projects and other committments will adjust the schedule, but when Jim gets the schedule out, It's set. Tucson has the smallbore championships ,usually in May. Rio Salado has matches, usually the weekend between Hassayampa's hi-power and smallbore matches. They are in Mesa. I hthink they come up on a search. Tony (lone ringer) usually is in on our bigger matches.

You might as well forget UT unless you want to go to the temple.
