Rumor.....

Post by Bob Mc Alice »

......has it that Steelchickens own and Arizona resident Jim Beckley won the HP hunter gun at the California state match last weekend at Avenal. Heard he also put a whoopin on some young cracker called Deadeye something or other from Gonzales,CA. Can anyone confirm this ? How was the match, good turnout ? Any scores to share with us?

52 views and no one has the time to post anything about the match? McAlice it must be the garlic you ate that the boys in CA can still smell. I can't JB isn't posting some remarks about how a 6.5 took the match. Come on guys, I've got time tween my exams and work to read some results, and even squeeze in a match here or there.
Deadeye, you still upset about an old man from that 'other' state shooting?

Yes it is not a rumor Jim Beckley came to CA to get even since Kyler Monares won one of the AZ HP state championships this year.

The state championships were held at Avenal, the range looked great with the new cover and other improvements, the weather was nice and we did not have too much wind. I counted 30 shooters, there were only two relays so the matches went pretty fast and we had trouble keeping our barrels cool specially the ones from shooters sharing rifles.

Dennis Daddian shot a 34 on the first match and a 32 on the second match to win the standard rifle championship.

On the second day Jim Beckley shot a 28 and a 26 to win the Hunting rifle championship, Chris Pfiffer was first master with 52, Tony Tello beat Killer Monares on a shoot of for 2nd master and won High Senior.

Hey, Thanks Guys, was doing the nasty (work), what a great run match, Scott Wheelock did a great job, his wife was also there as the chief cook and bottle washer. Had a great time. Want to thank everyone for their help in putting on the match, also Cathy White for the admin stuff. The only thing that was missing was trading verbal jabs with Ted May.
