Life expectancy of a .22
Wondering what I can expect for barrel life from my CZ 452. Are these barrels easy/worth changing? I know 22RF will go for a while, but everything wears out, eventually. Had a HP friend have to ditch an AR lower- figured it had 60K= on it and the pin holes had worn to the point it was effecting how the trigger worked.
Is it woth it to have a back up/practice gun?
Thanks

I would think it would be hard to wear out a .22 in a life time. Now if you want and excuse to tell your wife to change barrels... go for it ;)chuck d wrote:Wondering what I can expect for barrel life from my CZ 452. Are these barrels easy/worth changing? If you keep the 'donut' under control at the front of the chamber, I think your gun will be just as accurate 20 years from now as it was when you bought it.

I had a barrel on my heavy gun that went about 200,000 rounds on it in 30 years of shooting when i swich it to a hunter rifle but it was still as accurate as day 1..I kept the tube in case I build another heavy in the future its going back into service.
