Cathy Winsted-Severn won both the Smallbore and Hunter riflemtches today.. I remember it being a 39 for smallbore and I believe 37 for Hunter.

Baby Huey is cleaning house in his classes and now has thrown Hammy to the gutter and barely acknowledges him. So sad to see this done to Hammy who took him under his wing. Hammy will be carrying not only BH's luggage back to Florida but will have to empty his own suitcase out to help haul the trophies home for him.

What BH forget to pack his Sand Bags for the trip and now is forced to shoot better? What a coincidence I don't guess he is getting any ugly looks from other A class shooters as he struts out to the line with his shiny new rifle with the boosted telescope mounted on top

Cathy won BH needs to step it up a notch and put it on her. Look at her and Mini Kitty you could stack them one on top the other and still not look BH in the eye. Huey is going to let these little women show him who is boss? I think not!

Dooga Dave has been some what behaving himself, thanks to Russell and Anthony (he paid me to say this from money in the Ramslammers treasuary which he is throwing around every where. Also metioned that no one eats raw veggies, whats that all about?????

However I must report a near International incident that happened today. It seems the one and only Baby Huey stole the Aussie Shooting Sports flag. It was found hidden in PPKNY's car after Baby Huey put empty return bottles in it. Fortunately it was returned to the Austrailan team and thus avoided a near International disaster.

The NRA National Silhouette shooting championships began with first-day competition Sunday at the Ridgway Rifle Club smallbore range.
Cathy Winstead-Severin (Joplin, Mo.) was the first-day match winner in the smallbore standard rifle competition with a score of 39. Enrique Kuess Jr. (Laredo, Texas) was second overall with a 39 and William Zander (Houston, Texas) was third with a 38.
Luke Johnson (Marysville) was the master class winner Sunday with a 36 and Mallory Nichols (Fort Smith, Ark.) was second with a 35. Mark S. Pharr (Round Rock, Texas) was third with a 35 and Greg Engel (Flossmoor, Ill.) was fourth with a 35. Alan Bruce Finley (Calhoun, La.) was fifth was a 34 and Susan Peery was sixth with a 34. In seventh place was Kenneth M. Haupricht (Johnsonburg) with a score of 33 and Ron Bin (New Haven, Mo.) was eighth, tallying a 33. Wally Howard (Hazel Hurst) took ninth with a 32. Brian Launer (Johnsonburg) rounded out the top 10 with a mark of 32.
In the AAA class, Jorge Moreno (Saltillo, Mexico) was the class winner with a score of 34. Angelica Kuess Davila (Laredo, Texas) was second with a 33 and Gerold B. Johnson (Duncannon) was third with a 33. Larry Armstrong (Export) was fourth with 31 and Scott Lurie (Browntown, Va.) took fifth with a 31. G. Scott LaManna (Scotrun) was sixth with a 31, Carlos Moreno (Saltillo, Mexico) was seventh with a 31. David E. Leedy (Rebersburg) was eighth at 30, Jason Peterson (Bell Buckle, Tenn.) had ninth at 29 and Brad Maxwell (Kitchener, Ontario, Canada) was 10th at 28.
In the AA class, Patrick Petrillo (Hollywood, Fla.) won with a 29. Jake Sprague (Cary, N.C.) was second at 27 and Tyler S. Bonson (Reedsville) was third with a 27. Hunter Hinds (Loganton) was fourth with a 26 and David Gillispie (Reedsville, W. Va.) took fifth at 24. Tommy Peery (Center, Mo.) was sixth with a 23 and John J. McInchak (Erie) was seventh at 23. Sue Critz (El Paso, Texas) placed eighth with a 23 and Peter Kofira (Endwell, N.Y.) was ninth with a 22.
In the A class, Mary Mackey (Russell) was the winner with a 20. Kelli Grim (Clarksburg, Md.) was second with a 19 and Alex Joseph Pierce (Lewistown) was third with a 17.
Deon Germishuizen (Windsor, Ontario, Canada) was the B class winner with a 14.
Competition resumes at 9 a.m. Monday morning at the Ridgway Rifle Club smallbore range.

The NRA National Silhouette shooting championships opened Sunday with a familiar name on top of the standings.
Cathy Winstead-Severin (Joplin, Mo.) was the match winner in smallbore hunting rifle with a 37 out of a perfect score of 40. She also was the match winner in standard rifle. Mallory Nichols (Fort Smith, Ark.) was second overall with a 36 and Enrique Kuess Jr. (Laredo, Texas) was third with a 36.
Ron Bain (New Haven, Mo.) won the master class with a score of 34. Ben Marzella (Ridgway) was second with a 34 and Eric Boos (Little Rock, Wash.) was third with a 34. Dennis Martinen (Yakima, Wash.) was fourth at 33 and Russell Neville Teale (Queensland, Australia) was fifth with a 33. Gabriel Guerra (Monterrey, Mexico) was sixth with a 33 and Wally Howard (Hazel Hurst) was seventh with a 32. Kenneth M. Haupricht (Johnsonburg) was eighth at 32 and Scott Pierce (Lewistown) was ninth at 31. Brian Launer (Johnsonburg) was 10th at 31.

Va.) was sixth at 28 and John Neihouse (Fort Smith, Ark.) was seventh with a 27. Jason Peterson (Bell Buckle, Tenn.) was eighth with a 26 and F. Woody Walk (Metairie, La.) had ninth at 26. Jeffrey Thomas (Johnstown) was 10th at 26.
In the AA class, Mark Latham (Washington, Mo.) was the winner at 30. Jorge Moreno (Saltillo, Mexico) was second at 29 and Tyler S. Bonson (Reedsville) was third at 27. Sue A. Critz (El Paso, Texas) was fourth at 24 and David True (Canberra, Australia) was fifth at 23. Jim Pendleton (Markdale, Ontario, Canada) was sixth at 22 and Kathryn Grigg (Shelby, N.C.) was seventh at 21. John Milliron (Kane) was eighth at 21 and Hal Simpkins (Hampstead, Md.) was ninth at 21. Robert Spahr (York) took 10th at 20.
At A Class, Alex Joseph Pierce (Lewistown) won with a 22. Deon Germishuizen (Windsor, Ontario, Canada) was second at 22 and Tom Fullem (Ridgway) was third with a 21.
G. Michael Mackey (Russell) was the B class winner with 15.
Competition resumes at 9 a.m. Monday morning and continues through the day.

The smallbore standard rifle team championships were held Monday at the Ridgway Rifle Club as part of the NRA National Silhouette Championships.
The overall team champions were “B.A.S.S.” That team finished with a total score of 207. Team members are Susan Peery (Churchton, Mass.), Cathy Winstead-Severin (Joplin, Mo.) and Laura Goetsch (Whites Creek, Tenn.) Winstead-Severin had a 77 to lead the team.
Team “Mexico 1” was the runner-up with a score of 203. Team members are Carlos A. Moreno (Saltillo, Mexico), Gabriel Guerra (Monterrey, Mexico) and Enrique Kuess Jr. (Laredo, Texas). Kuess Jr. had a 73 to pace that team.
In master class, team “Texas State Rifle Association” won with a score of 199. Team members are Mark Pharr (Round Rock, Texas), Jerry Toreau (Baton Rouge, La.) and Alan Bruce Finley (Calhoun, La.)
Team “Pennsylvania Rifle & Pistol Association was second with a score of 187. Team members are Ben Marzella (Ridgway), Fred Kielbowick (Ridgway) and Wally Howard (Hazel Hurst). Howard had a 66 for the top score for the team.
Team “2 Hops & A Skip” placed third in master class, with a total score of 175. Team members are Brian Launer, Ken Haupricht and Kenneth M. Haupricht, all of Johnsonburg. Kenneth M. Haupricht paced the team with a 68.
In the AAA class, team “Mexico 2” won with a score of 191. Team members are Enrique Kuess Sr. (Laredo, Texas), Angelica Kuess Davila (Laredo, Texas) and Jorge Moreno (Saltillo, Mexico). Kuess Davila had a 71 to pace the team.
The team of “Harrisburg Hunters & Anglers” took second in AAA class with a 176. Team members are Gerold B. Johnson (Duncannon), Randall W. Samick (Harrisburg) and Luke J. Johnson (Marysville). Luke Johnson had a score of 69 to lead the team.
Team “Ridgway Canadians” took third with a 172. Team members are Harold Frey (Waterloo, Ontario, Canada), Peter Sedman (Clifford, Ontario, Canada) and Brad Maxwell (Kitchener, Ontario, Canada). Sedman had a 61 for the top score on the team.
In AA class, team “Blue Rock Sportsman Club Juniors” won with a score of 136. Team members are Amanda Ruffner (McVeytown), Tyler S. Bonson (Reedsville) and Alex Pierce (Lewistown). Bonson led with a score of 57.
In A class, team “Michi-Guns” won with a score of 103. Team members are Larry Medler (Taylor, Mich.), Frederick Janeczko (Sterling Heights, Mich.) and Deon Germishuizen (Windsor, Ontario, Canada).

The NRA smallbore hunting rifle championship took place Monday afternoon at the Ridgway Rifle Club smallbore range as part of the NRA National Silhouette Championships.
The overall team winner was “Mexico 1” with a score of 202. Team members are Gabriel Guerra (Monterrey, Mexico), Angelica Kuess Davila (Laredo, Texas), and Enrique Kuess Jr. (Laredo, Texas).
The overall runner-up was team “B.A.S.S.” with a score of 201. Team members are Susan Peery (Churchton, Mass.), Laura Goetsch (Whites Creek, Tenn.) and Cathy Winstead-Severin (Joplin, Mo.)
Team “PE ELL” was the master class champion with a score of 191. Team members are Eric Boos (Little Rock, Wash), Loren Peter (Vancouver, Wash) and Dennis Martinen (Yakima, Wash.).
Team “Texas State Rifle Association” took second in master class with a score of 190. Team members are Mark Pharr (Round Rock, Texas), Jerry Toreau (Baton Rouge, La.) and Alan Bruce Finley (Calhoun, La.)
Team “PA Rifle & Pistol Association” took third in master class with a mark of 179. Team members are Ben Marzella (Ridgway), Wally Howard (Hazel Hurst) and Fred Kielbowick (Ridgway).
Team “Mexico 2” was the AA class winner with a score of 172. Team members are Enrique Kuess Sr. (Laredo, Texas), Carlos Moreno (Saltillo, Mexico) and Jorge Moreno (Saltillo, Mexico).
Team Australia was second at 159. Team members are Russell Teale (Queensland, Australia), David True (Canberra, Australia) and Anthony Finn (Bracken Ridge, Australia).
Team “Harrisburg Hunters & Anglers took third at 146. Team members are Gerold B. Johnson (Duncannon), Randall Samick (Harrisburg) and Luke Johnson (Marysville)
In AA class, “Team Michigan Rifle & Pistol Association” won with a mark of 137. Team members are Richard Franke (Clinton Township, Mich.), Gary Dawson (Rochester, Mich.) and Duane Burleson (Sterling Heights, Mich.)
Team “Maryland 12th Precinct” won in A class with a score of 79. Team members are Walter Oakley (Lusby, Md.) George Petricko (Tracys Landing, Md.) and Leroy Brunner Jr. (Severna Park, Md.)

In A class, Ryan Labenne (Ridgway) was the class winner with a score of 24. Nick Opperman (Lalucia, Durban, South Africa) was second at 20 and Alex Pierce (Lewistown) was third with a score of 19. Kelli Grim (Clarksburg, Md.) was fourth with a score of 18. Adam Braverman (Sedalia, Mo.) was fifth at 16.
Deon Germishuizen (Windsor, Ontario, Canada) won B class with a score of 20.
The final day of smallbore competition begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.
