Before Match Food
What kinds of foods do you guys stay away from right before a match and why? Seems like some foods would have some negative effect on your performance.

Not an old hand at sillywet, but I shot my third match today. Started on rams and by the time I finished with turkeys I did notice I had a harder time holding steady.
I actually figured it was I hadn't eaten yet today and my body was letting me know by the time I finished.
I plan on doing some protein before the match next time to help metabolize the java and smokes........

Usually shooting scores right in class, too bad its the class below my classification!

generally refrain from stimulants and sweet things eg, soft drinks, if you are thirsty drink water or watered down fruit juice, however dont stray too far from your normal eating habits for example if you normally drink a lot of coffee, drinking less is better than stopping. Withdrawal symptoms are as bad as having too much.
Eat a couple of hours before you shoot and refrain from eating heavy hard to digest foods during the shooting day.

If you regularly drink a couple of cups of coffee every morning, don't skip it on match day. If you eat two beef bean borito's and a super big gulp for breakfast like myself, don't change a thing. Your body will go into withdrawals.
I have found being a little hungry is actually better than having a full stomach.

Donny gave me lots of that at winnie, (you can register on line Wednesday), now that may be good, if you ignore the taste, no sugar or Mayhog jelly. Now a nip of all that stuff after the match. Me I'm a chuck it all in together Long Island Ice Tea man, and i gota go with that.

I am still scared to go into a fast food joint down there, last time they asked me this:
"y'allwanatraywiddat" when I said sorry can you say it again they shouted
"Y'ALLWANATRAYWIDDAT".

Donnie grits were mighty fine too. Ate them everyday, the stuck in there like a good paste should. If the jelly dont suit you then I'llbring up some vegemite for 'ur biscit' seein as we aint got no toast and butter for the yeast to spread on.
