7-08 loads
Wanting to know what kind of powder everyone is using for their 175gr 7mm sierras????? Been using Varget here

You are already using probably the most common 7-08 powder. Varget works very very well.

In an 8 twist 3 groove barrel I use 37grs of varget...with a winchester primer. It will take up to 39 with some primer flattening....One doesn't need that. ( Winchester brass)....Norma brass or lapau limits one to about 38grs...the adventurous can try 39

I shoot both 175 gr. Hornady Interlock and Sierra SPBT. Loads that my guns prefer are 38.0 Varget.....37.0 RL-15.....43.0 I4350. The 4350 load is overall the best in accuracy and provides 100 fps. more for same pressure as the others.

I've found 42gn x AR2209 to be very accurate. This is one of the Australian made Mulwex powders sold by Hodgdon in the States as H4350 I believe.
